Roma is on the verge of finalizing the acquisition of Marcos Leonardo come January. This Brazilian forward was on the brink of switching to the Giallorossi from Santos earlier in the summer, but Santos intervened, preventing the transfer and obliging him to prolong his stay in Brazil, at least until January.
Now that the Italian transfer window is closed, Roma's only option is to wait until January to secure Leonardo's services. As per reports from Corriere dello Sport, Roma may opt to sign Leonardo at that time and promptly loan him out within Serie A for the remainder of the season, given that the club's current attacking roster appears to be already well-stocked.
More information is expected to be available the closer we get to January.
